Art Therapy

An art therapist is trained at a masters degree level or above to provide a non judgmental contained space for emotional + physical: regulation, catharsis, safety, etc.

Art therapy is when a credentialed art therapist facilitates client(s) in the use of visual arts and the creative process, +/- verbal expression within the therapeutic relationship, to work towards individual // group goals.

Creating and altering images can help to to externalize + reorganize

your physical and emotional narrative, 

increasing feelings of power, control, and facilitate positive reintegration of feelings.

Goals (may include) supporting, maintaining, and improving the psychological, psychosocial, physical, cognitive and/or spiritual health of individuals of all ages and abilities.
